How to Have a Successful Book Launch Party
By Elite Online Publishing
Right when you finished writing a book, where you probably spent late nights working on it, might have even shed a few tears even, you still have one thing to work on: your Book Launching Party. Have no fear, we have some tips for you that will help your launch party become a success.
At the launch party, it’s important to be social and try to talk to everyone there. Of course, that can be easier said than done for some people, but it will help your book get the buzz it needs. Also, everyone loves an author who’s outgoing and wants to establish a connection with potential book buyers. If you are really struggling with socializing, have a buddy with you to help you approach people and have talking points ready if your mind goes blank.
The best day to host your launch party is on the weekend. It’s the best way to ensure that people will not have work or school that would have prevented them from going if it was on a weekday.
Make sure you have food. When you got people with food in their stomachs, they will be in a great mood and will be ready to talk to you about your book. As well, it’s a way to show how much you appreciate them for taking the time to come to your launch party. You can’t go wrong with either using a catering service or cooking something yourself (so long as it looks good).
Prepare yourself for a lot advertising. It would be horrible to have done so much work and have no one show up. Have flyers up at the venue of your launch party and at any other busy location. You can even have an ad in the paper about it and blast it on your social media.
Have someone take pictures of the event. Even if it is not a huge success, you can still post the pictures on your social media or author website.
Make every guest that comes write down their email and name. Don’t force it on them, however. Collecting their information is just a great way to increase your email list and to be able to reach out to people who could potentially buy your book.
Have some freebies ready for the people who come. It will make them feel special and will make the event more memorable for them.
The venue for your launch party is up to you. Just make sure it will be at a place where everyone will have fun! As long as you have happy guests, it will be a successful launch party.
