How to Endorse Your Book and Your Brand

Marketing your book is always tricky. There’s so many routes to go on, and it’s hard to know where to even begin! A way to reduce your stress about marketing your novel is to work with a marketing influencer. A marketing influencer is someone who helps you get your brand out there that will feel more genuine to the consumers. Think about word-of-mouth: you trust anything your friend recommends to you because they are your friend, right? It works in the same way, and anyone can be an influencer. Once you find the person or business to be your influencer, you will see that your brand will go out to more people and will feel more real to your target audience.

To find your influencer, look at the people who buy your book. When you find the one that you wish your other customers could be like, that could be your influencer. It’s even better if you realize that they are into talking about what they like on their social media to a big follower base. See if they have written any blogs or have gone on any podcasts because that will help you determine if they are credible or not. Look at their social media for a few weeks to ensure it is the best person for your brand.

You think contacting them is going to be the hardest part, but it really isn’t. All you have to do is ask! Email them to introduce yourself, tell them about your book, and tell them why they would love your book. Some might ask for a fee to endorse your book, and some will do it for free.

Once your influencer is on board, there are a number of ways to get your book out there with their help. An interview with them will make it easier for the influencer to start to mention your brand without having to make an individual plan for you. Another thing you can do is let your influencer takeover your social media. It’s a great way to create buzz for your book and to add followers who follow your influencer. If your influencer is a company, send them some samples that they can send out. Who doesn’t love free goodies? The samples can also help you gain testimonials. Testimonials help people trust a brand, and it could reach someone with a lot of influence in the social media world.

What’s great about an influencer is that it makes marketing more personal. It’s easier to buy something knowing it came from a real human and not just a faceless company. Now, go and find that influencer and watch your brand branch out.
